GsynBioT? (Shanghai) Co, Ltd. was co-founded by two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Its vision is dedicated to building a biotechnology engineering platform for the efficient research and development, advanced manufacturing, and innovative applications of natural products based on synthetic biology.

OUR ADVANTAGES

We have established a synthetic biology innovation chain for rare plant natural products (e.g., rare ginsenosides, icariin, parthenolide), covering: 1) discovery and characterization of biosynthetic pathway elements, 2) reconstruction of cell factories for one-pot synthesis, 3) pathway optimization for yield enhancement, and 4) scaled production. This platform enables stable biomanufacturing of over 15 natural products, accelerating their industrial applications and product development.

We specialize in the comprehensive elucidation of the biosynthetic pathways of natural products, and have successfully uncovered the synthetic pathways for more than 30 valuable plant natural products so far.

We are good at mining and engineering bioparts, and have established genome editing systems for a variety of fungal chassis cells, which has laid an important foundation for building microbial cell factories of different rare natural products and increasing thier yield rapidly .

We have realized the stable biomanufacturing of more 15 natural products, and thus promote their application and new product development.

Our mission is to build the core competitiveness of industrial transformation in the biomanufacturing and application of natural products, and to provide distinctive and competitive high-tech raw materials for drugs, functional food, products for health care and personal care (medical beauty), feedstuff and beverage, which may promote green and sustainable development in these areas through the transformation of synthetic biology technology.
